Maize/Chibage/Umumbu Farming Project

Planting hope, harvesting change.

Project Story

The Maize Farming Project is one of our key sustainability initiatives at Patricia Jabangwe Children’s Home. Led by our dedicated gardener and supported by the children, the project helps us grow our own staple food while teaching vital agricultural and teamwork skills. Beyond feeding our family, maize farming teaches responsibility, patience, and the value of hard work. Each season, our children participate in soil preparation, planting, watering, and harvesting — turning lessons into life skills.

Why Maize Farming Matters

Raised So Far

💰 Goal: $500 to expand our maize field and buy fertilizer. Every contribution helps us buy seeds, tools, and inputs for the next planting season.

When I see our maize grow, I feel proud because I helped plant it.

Donor to the cause
🌾 Our dream is to expand the project to produce surplus which can be sold locally. The proceeds will help pay for school fees and other needs, making the home more self-sufficient.
🌾 Your support helps us feed our children and their dreams. Even a small donation goes a long way. From a bag of seed to a bright smile.
