Why This Project Matters
At the moment, our kitchen facilities are outdated and no longer adequate for preparing daily meals for the children at the home. Because of this, we often rely on an outdoor cooking area and firewood, which is not ideal during bad weather and limits our ability to cook efficiently. This project aims to renovate and equip our kitchen so that meals can be prepared in a safer, cleaner, and more reliable environment. A proper kitchen is essential for the wellbeing of the children. Every day, meals are prepared to ensure the children receive proper nutrition. Renovating the kitchen will improve hygiene, safety, and efficiency in meal preparation while reducing the reliance on firewood and outdoor cooking. A modern kitchen will also make it easier for caregivers and volunteers to prepare meals for the children.

Project Implementation Plan
Phase 1: Preparing the Kitchen Space

Proper preparation will ensure that the new kitchen is built on a strong and safe foundation.
Phase 2: Kitchen Renovation and Installation
During this phase, the main renovation work will take place. This will include improving the cooking area, installing proper work surfaces, and ensuring the space has adequate ventilation and safety features. The goal is to create a functional kitchen that allows caregivers to prepare meals efficiently and safely for the children.
Phase 3: Equipping the Kitchen
The final phase will focus on equipping the kitchen with the essential tools and equipment needed for daily meal preparation. This may include cooking utensils, storage areas, and other basic kitchen necessities. Once complete, the kitchen will be ready to support the preparation of nutritious meals for the children every day.
